Adult art workshop facilitation
Planned and ran an adult creative workshop for Apophenia Clothing — adapting techniques on the fly to each participant.
The problem
Apophenia wanted to host a hands-on art workshop for their community. The brief asked for an experience that worked for adult participants at very different skill levels — confident enough for makers, gentle enough for first-timers.
The approach
Planned a session that walked the room through a single technique, then opened time for participants to apply it their own way. Read the room and adapted in the moment — added prompts for people who froze, stepped back from people who were flying.
The outcome
Workshop ran end-to-end with strong participant engagement. Worth more to me than any single deliverable: I left more confident at communicating creative concepts out loud, in real time, to non-art audiences.
